Map of Gatlinburg

If you're going to be traveling by car in Gatlinburg, there are limited free parking spots along River Road on the right at traffic light marked #5. Many businesses such as restaurants provide limited amounts of free parking for their customers, and there are numerous pay parking lots and garages located throughout town. Lots of people choose to take advantage of the two Park & Ride lots – one at the Welcome Center just before entering town on Hwy. 441 South, and the other on East Parkway at City Hall. At these locations you can park for free and catch the Trolley into town for just a quarter.

If you're staying in the city overnight, and we hope you do, your best option by far is to remain parked at your place of lodging and take one of Gatlinburg's trolleys to your destination. For only fifty cents per ride, you can choose from several routes that will take you to most any downtown location; for a nominal additional charge, you can transfer to outlying areas like the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community, Dollywood, and National Park sites like Sugarlands Visitor Center and Elkmont Campground.

The following map outlines the different color-coded trolley routes that service the Gatlinburg area, as well as the locations of numerous parking facilities. Click on the map to view an enlarged version.
